Papillion Hamilton Island

Overview

Resort Holiday Home: Coastal Residential Architecture

Aspect delivered the full architectural design for the transformation of an existing Hamilton Island holiday home, including a new three‑bedroom extension, upgraded kitchen, gym and utility spaces. The brief centred on enhancing sleeping capacity and elevating the home into a high‑end holiday letting and wedding‑venue property on Hamilton Island — one of Australia’s most sought‑after island destinations. New natural finishes, including stone tiles, timber elements, cobblestone paving and a refined standing‑seam roof, were selected for durability, elegance and coastal performance.

REFINED ISLAND LIVING DESIGN

Luxury Holiday Home Architecture

Positioned within Hamilton Island’s exclusive northern precinct, Papillon has been re‑imagined as a luxurious coastal retreat that connects seamlessly with its natural surrounds. The architectural design maximises views at every opportunity, with expansive picture windows and bi‑fold doors framing sweeping panoramas of Fitzalan Passage and Whitsunday Island. These generous openings dissolve boundaries between inside and out, flooding the home with natural light and reinforcing the resort‑style atmosphere.

Open living areas flow effortlessly to outdoor terraces, manicured lawns and the signature infinity‑edge pool, creating multiple spaces for gathering, entertaining and relaxation.

The planning separates accommodation into two zones: a master suite within the main building and two additional ensuite bedrooms in a dedicated guest wing — a configuration ideal for families, groups and premium holiday stays. High‑end appliances, integrated storage solutions and full air‑conditioning ensure both comfort and functionality year‑round.

Set across 2,661m² of sculpted tropical gardens, Papillon delivers a refined architectural experience that blends island tranquillity with contemporary coastal elegance — a signature residence designed for premium holiday living.
